The latest addition in NE15…welcome to Blue Star, Dan.

Newcastle Blue Star are delighted to welcome Dan Stephenson to Scotswood, the versatile and combative player joining us from Heaton Stannington.

Having signed for the Stan in August 2021, Dan has significant Northern League and Northern Premier League experience. He will also be linking back up with a number of familiar former faces in our current squad.

Capable of playing in both defence and midfield, Stephenson will give First Team Manager Paul Brayson a range of options in which he can be deployed.

Commenting on the newest addition to his squad, Brassy said: “Dan is a very good player and a brilliant addition to our squad. He’s an excellent technical player, and will be useful from dead ball situations as well.

“Gifted with a great left foot, Dan ha also played at higher level for a few years so will bring valuable experience and knowledge to our dressing room.

“This is another positive signing and step in the right direction for our squad, coming on the back of other additions including; Richie Slaughter, Craig Scott, Jake Cunningham and Collins Unuareokpa.”

NE15s latest addition, Dan Stephenson, added: “Blue Star is obviously a club on the up, with the facilities they’ve got and where they want to be on the pitch, so hopefully I can contribute to achieve their ambitions.

"As a player I like to get on the ball as much as I can and dictate the play, and can play in a number of positions which will hopefully help the management."

Dan will join up with the first team this week ahead of Boro Rangers visiting the KD Stadium on Saturday.
