Newcastle Blue Star are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Harris, as our new Under 23’s manager.
Paul joins Blue Star with 13 years of coaching under his belt, having coached at clubs such as Gateshead FC, Sunderland AFC and South Shields FC.
Qualified to a UEFA B standard, Paul works full-time in schools and colleges, coaching and developing elite players through video analysis sessions.
Speaking on his appointment, Paul stated he is “looking forward to the challenge ahead and hopes to take the club forward.”
Paul will be joined by his assistants – Shannon McSweeney and Paul Freestone, who both have a wealth of experience within the game.
Shannon is currently the director of girl's football at Improtech and the head coach at Boldon FC Ladies. Paul Freestone meanwhile is also UEFA B qualified having previously managed Wallsend seniors.
