Club Statement: First Team Management

Newcastle Blue Star can confirm the departure of first team management trio Marc Nash, Anthony Woodhouse and Graeme Scott following their resignation with immediate effect.

The club would like to place our thanks on record to all three for their efforts and commitment over the past 23 months.

A spell that saw the club promoted from Northern League Division 2 to Division 1 in their first season in charge, followed by a near successive promotion only to lose the league play-off final on penalties in their second season.

Under the leadership of Nash & Woodhouse the club also achieved a historic FA Cup run, handed first team debuts to a number of the clubs junior players, and helped Jack Daley to achieve a move to Middlesbrough FC on a professional contract.

Club Chairman Stephen Best said: “Marc, Anthony & Graeme leave with the clubs best wishes, and we thank them for their contributions over a period that helped the club progress to NL Division 1, and another step closer to achieving our goal.

“Not forgetting some memorable moments under their management.”

The club will be seeking to appointment a new first team management team in the coming weeks, and further communications on this matter will follow.
