Commenting on the finalised retained list, First Team Manager Marc Nash, said: “Keeping the core of last year’s squad, whilst adding some further quality to it was the objective over the summer, and I’m really pleased we’ve managed to achieve that.
“After two whole squad overhauls previously, this summer was a bit more straight forward thankfully!
“We are lucky to have such a close knit, ambitious group here at Scotswood, and to be able to add to that with 3 quality signings is a real statement of intent.
“Several players from other clubs have expressed their desire to join the club over the summer, and that shows that others are taking note of the project we are building here, and that they want to be part of it.
“This years squad is once again an exciting mix of youth & experience, with real quality throughout. I know the lads are eager to get out on the pitch and show what they can do, and I’m confident they’ll entertain the Scotswood faithful once again.”
