Newcastle Blue Star FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Michael Ndiweni from Ashington AFC.
The local lad, who has played for Newcastle United in the Premier League, as well as a loan spell for Annan Athletic in the Scottish League One, joins ahead of the crucial run in for Marc Nash's side.
Michael, who joins up with the playing squad immediately, will give an additional attacking option and no doubt excite the Scotswood faithful in the remaining league fixtures.
Commenting on his move to Scotswood, just 5 mile from where he grew up, Michael said: "The opportunity came along to play regular football which is my priority at the moment. I went along to a few sessions and really liked the set up of the club. Hopefully I can get some goals and help the team as they aim for promotion. Can’t wait to get started."
Manager Marc Nash welcomed the new striker, saying: "Michael has trained with us since he left Ashington and has looked very sharp. We aren't blessed with big squad numbers, so his addition comes at a crucial time for the run in."
Welcome to NE15, Michael.
