We are absolutely thrilled to announce the signing of highly experienced and skilled midfielder Liam Noble, following his departure from Hebburn Town.
The 34-year-old joins up with The Star immediately, and with clubs such as Carlisle United, Notts County & Forest Green Rovers on his CV, Noble will bring significant quality and presence to our line up.
Given the current injury hit status of the squad, especially to our midfield, this signing is a hugely welcome addition, and bolsters Nashy’s options.
A local lad, Noble has achieved honours with Carlisle United (Football League Trophy), Forest Green Rovers (National League Play Offs) and most recently, Hebburn Town (NPL Division One East).
With over 520 career appearances, and just shy of 90 goals, Nobles signing is one that the fans should very much be excited about.
After securing the midfielders signature, First Team Manager Marc Nash, said: “We got word Liam might become available, so it was a no-brainer to bring that sort of quality to the club, especially when you consider the players now unavailable.
“He will add so much quality and experience, and that bit of knowhow, so couldn't have come at a better time as we've looked a little vulnerable without our senior lads.”
Ahead of tonights game vs Boro Rangers, Noble said: "Being from the area, I'm looking forward to linking up with the lads and getting involved - it's an exciting time for the club, and with my experience and background, I feel I can really help the lads push on.
"It's obviously a very young, but talented side, and I'll be looking to help the team on and off the pitch, bringing that knowledge from the leagues the club aspires to get to.
"I'm match ready, excited to get going, and looking forward to the season ahead."
Can't wait to see you out there, Liam.
